Mr. Lewis F. Coffey, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at Vickers Personal Care Home in Starkville.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31st, 2012 at Porter Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Hodges officiating.
Interment followed in Rocky Point Cemetery in Renfroe.
Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Coffey was born Sept. 4, 1933, in Leake County. He was an Army veteran and received his B.S. degree in geology from Mississippi State University. He was the former owner of Firestone and Town & Country Furniture in Louisville.
Mr. Coffey is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Blake) Purcell of St. Petersburg, Russia, and Melinda (Rodney) Merkel of Temperance, Mich.; two sons, Kent (Judy) Coffey of Starkville, and Chris Coffey of Starkville; brother, Joe Coffey of Madison; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Dee Mitchell Coffey.
