Nusz Park left a good first impression to those teams participating in the Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament.
For those program in the league that had not played Mississippi State in Starkville during the regular season, the postseason exposed it to the new stadium for the first time.
Kentucky coach Rachel Lawson was very impressed.
“I want to thank Mississippi State,” Lawson said. “This is an awesome venue. We had not been to the new stadium yet, so to be able to see the stadium, first and foremost, really shows a commitment to the sport of softball, but then to see all of the hard work that went into throwing the SEC Tournament was awesome, right down to the smallest detail. The city of Starkville and the surrounding areas have been tremendous.”
