Liggins scores twice in East Webster win

MABEN – Deangelo Liggins rushed for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the East Webster Wolverines defeated Williams Sullivan 47-6 on homecoming.

Liggins had an 8-yard run in the first quarter for a score, then added a 25-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Offensively, East Webster generated 414 yards.

The defensive highlight for the Wolverines was a 35-yard interception return by Austin McGinnis.
East Webster, which improved to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in Class 2A, Region 2, District 4, travel to Hamilton next week.

PELAHATCHIE – Steve Bell scored two touchdowns, but the Titans could not get past the Chiefs.
Bell ran one and caught another one from Justin Williams.

Williams and Juwan Roberts each had a 2-point conversion.

The Titans (2-6, 1-4) had five touchdowns called back.

Hebron Christian 12

CALHOUN CITY – The undefeated run for the Hebron Christian School Eagles came to an end in Calhoun County.

Will Corben Rogers and Taylor Coggins had one touchdown each as the Eagles saw their record fall to 8-1.
