Local celebs to help humane society Tuesday at Harveys

Harveys restaurant at 406 Highway 12 East will help the Oktibbeha County Humane Society this Tuesday by hosting Celebrity Wait Night.
A dozen local celebrities will be on hand to deliver dinner between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., according to a news release. All tips and donations collected during that time will go to the humane society.
There will also be a silent auction, including several items donated by Clark Beverage Group, according to the news release. The humane society will have several animals on hand for adoption.
OCHS Board President Sharon Breckenridge said, “Our friends at Harveys approached us about participating in Celebrity Wait Night, and we are honored to do so!” human society board president Sharon Breckenridge said in the news release. “We have an outstanding group of celebrities who have donated their time to serve as waiters and waitresses, and we are very humbled by their support.”

This is the first Celebrity Wait Night Harveys has hosted since the restaurant was remodeled in January, restaurant general manager Katherine Jackson said in the news release.
