WINONA – The Eupora Eagles totaled 269 yards and beat Winona 22-13 Friday night.
Vandy Smith got Eupora going when he scored on a 54-yard run in the first quarter.
Justin Lewis connected from 34 yards to give Eupora a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
Trey Pittman found Will Bowen from 12 yards in the second quarter and Derrick Jones returned an 85-yard punt in the fourth quarter to get Eupora to 3-0.
The Eagles rushed for 192 yards on 32 attempts and were 7-of-14 passing for 77 yards.
The Eagles held the Tigers to only 200 yards of total offense.
Eupora will be at home Thursday night when they play host to West Oktibbeha at 7:30 p.m.
North Pontotoc 52, East Oktibbeha 13
ECRU – Justin Williams tossed two touchdown passes, but the Titans couldn't overcome Class 4A opponent North Pontotoc.
Williams found Juwan Roberts twice for both East Oktibbeha scores. Curtis Randale connected on an extra point for the Titans.
East Oktibbeha will be back in action next Friday night when they travel to Sebastopol for its first division game of the year.
