John Crecink

John Calvin Crecink, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. 

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Prentiss Gordon officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home.
Welch Funeral Home in Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

He was an Agricultural Economist with the USDA at Mississippi State University. Mr. Crecink was a WW II Navy veteran. He loved his family and MSU.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary C. Kot (Joseph A.) of Macon, Ga. and Janet A. Crecink of Brandon; his sons, John C. Crecink, Jr. (Candace W.) of Starkville and Robert M. Crecink (Karen P.) of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Amy C. Oliver (Adam), Elisabeth M. Crecink, John J. Kot and Jane Ellen Crecink; cousin, Thelma Ruth Woodyear; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Crecink was preceded in death by his parents, Webster John Crecink and Mary Emma McMillon Crecink; and his wife, Jane Ragan Crecink.
