BATESVILLE—Dorothy Tuttle Bailey, 91, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Starkville surrounded by her loving family.Â
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brownie Tohill officiating.
Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.Â
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday morning.Â
Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Â
Mrs. Bailey was born Oct. 24, 1920 in Batesville to the late William Thomas and Lillie Neal Thetford Tuttle.Â
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville and was a homemaker who was a lifelong artisan and crafts person.Â
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Bailey of Starkville; two daughters, Olivia Bailey Loftis (Ted) of Starkville, Donna Bailey DeFord (Alvis) of Starkville; five grandchildren, Bailey Anderson, Neal Anderson, Meredith Adams, Kevin Anderson, and Ben Loftis; seven great-grandchildren, Tessa Loftis, Carson Loftis, Davis Anderson, Neely Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Audrey Adams & Carol Grace Anderson.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made the The St. Jude Ronald McDonald House.
