Charles Montgomery
The funeral for Charles Montgomery will be today at 10 a.m. at Sumrall First Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Montgomery, 56, died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, La. He was the retired manager of Lowe’s and manager of ProBuild Lumber Co.
He was a member of Sumrall First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Fortenberry Montgomery of Sumrall; son, Adam Montgomery; daughter, Shana Montgomery Doninger of Sumrall; sister, Diane Chambers of Nashville, Tenn. and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Charles Montgomery trust fund at the Citizen’s Bank of Sumrall. Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nellie Frances Ward Hughes
Mrs. Nellie Frances Ward Hughes, 89, of Starkville, passed away at Vicker’s Personal Care Home in Starkville on Monday, February 8.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by Welch Funeral Home.

Dr. Tip Henry Allen
The funeral for Dr. Tip Henry Allen Jr. will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m. with a graveside at Canton City Cemetery in Canton at 3 p.m. Visitation for Dr. Allen will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home.
Dr. Allen, 81, passed away at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville on Sunday, February 7, 2010. He was a retired professor at Mississippi State University in political science.
