Wreck ties up traffic near campus

August 12, 2010

Oktibbeha County sheriff’s deputies, East Oktibbeha volunteer firefighters and OCH Regional Medical Center paramedics work to free a man from the wreckage of his car after he collided with a stopped pickup from behind shortly before noon Thursday at the intersection of Blackjack Road and Stone Boulevard at the edge of the Mississippi State University campus. MSU police officers also responded to the crash. The driver of the car, whose name was not released, was examined at the crash scene by paramedics, but declined to be transported to the hospital for treatment, deputies said. The crash tied up traffic on Blackjack Road for awhile.
