Dominique Dillingham was elected a captain by her Mississippi State teammates on Thursday night.
On Friday against Samford, Dillingham showed why she has the respect of the other Bulldogs.
Dillingham achieved her first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds as the No. 11 MSU women defeated the Samford Bulldogs 68-47 at Humphrey Coliseum.
It was the season opener for the Bulldogs and was played in front of 6,463, which was the second largest crowd in school history.
