Sentencings, arraignments keep court docket active

The fall term of Oktibbeha County Circuit Court wrapped up Friday with numerous sentencings and arraignments.
Both judges Lee Howard and Jim Kitchens were on the bench for two days last week before recessing Wednesday to attend a judicial conference.
Circuit Court action resumes Monday at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse Annex on West Main Street.
In Circuit Court action last week, the following defendants pleaded guilty to various charges in Circuit Court and are listed by name, charges, sentence, fines and restitution (any similarities in name to other individuals in the community is purely coincidental):
• Johnny Allen, burglary of a business, 5 years of non-adjudicated probation, $250 fine, $1,515 in restitution.
• Reshon Beckum, possession of between .1 and 2 grams of cocaine, 2 years in prison, $250 fine, $250 in restitution to the Starkville Police Department.
• Timothy Johnson, attempted exploitation of a child, 5 years in prison, $50,000 fine.
• Larry Stallings, possession of between . 1 and 2 grams of cocaine, 5 years of probation, $1,000 fine.
• Calvin Lamar Stewart, possession of between 1 and 5 kilograms of marijuana, sentencing set for Nov. 6.
• James Sudduth, uttering a forgery, 5 years of probation, $750 fine, $1,523.54 in restitution.
• Mary Hampton, uttering a forgery, 1 year in the Intensive Supervision/House Arrest Program followed by 5 years of probation,  $750 fine, $3,563.60 in restitution.
• Terry Barnhart, attempted exploitation of a child, 5 years in prison, $50,000 fine ($49,000 suspended).
• Henry Brown, sale of cocaine, 10 years in prison, $5,000 fine ($4,000 suspended).
• LaPepsi Miller, felony false pretense, 2 years in prison, $500 fine, $801.97 in restitution.
• William Jones, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, 3 years in prison, $1,000 fine.
• Antonio Brownlee, possession of between .1 and 2 grams of cocaine, 6 years in prison, $1,000 fine.
• James C. Wall III, possession of three dosage units of hydrocodone, 5 years of non-adjudicated probation, $1,000 fine.
In Circuit Court action last week, the following suspects were arraigned on various Oktibbeha County Grand Jury indictments and are listed by name, charges, date of next court action and bond (any similarities in name to other individuals in the community is purely coincidental):
• Jerin Collins, sale or transfer of marijuana, Jan. 29, $10,000 bond.
• Kollin Kelly, malicious mischief, Jan. 28.
• Antonio Hill, possession of a controlled substance, Feb. 3, $5,000 bond.
• Byron Cattladge, possession of a controlled substance, Jan. 29, $5,000 bond.
• Daphine Hodges, two counts of uttering a forgery, Jan. 28, $5,000 bond.
• John Holmes, embezzlement, Feb. 2, $5,000 bond.
• Reginald Poole, embezzlement, Jan. 27, $5,000 bond.
• Brian Austin, sale or transfer of amphetamine, sale or transfer of stanozolol, Jan. 27, $20,000 bond.
• Jessica Evans, possession of a controlled substance, Feb. 3, $10,000 bond.
• Sylvia Thurman, false pretense, Jan. 26, $5,000 bond.
• Tamika Arnold, embezzlement, Jan. 28, $5,000 bond.
• Henry Cunningham, sale or transfer of cocaine, Jan. 27, $10,000 bond.
• Ceforrest Hendrix, uttering a forgery, Jan. 28, $5,000 bond.
• Donna Harris, child abuse, Feb. 2, $10,000 bond.
• Jana P. Haynes, false pretense, Jan. 28, $5,000 bond.
• Malcolm Hogan, attempted statutory rape, Feb. 2, $10,000 bond.
• Wayne Watt, seven counts of uttering a forgery, Jan. 21, $30,000 bond.
• Zettie M. Miller, false pretense, Jan. 28, $5,000 bond.
• LaToya Thomas, fraud by computer, Feb. 3, $25,000 bond.
• Bradley Powe, statutory rape, Feb. 2, $5,000 bond.
• Dacorrey Myles, aggravated assault, Feb. 2, $10,000 bond.
• Harvey Rice, possession of a controlled substance, Feb. 5, $5,000 bond.
• Ruby Johnson, grand larceny, Feb. 4, $5,000 bond.
• Lauren M. Castillo, false pretense, Feb. 4, $5,000 bond.
• Reginald Ward, DUI (third offense), Jan. 28, $5,000 bond.
• Eddie Horton, fraudulent use of identification, Feb. 4, $7,500 bond.
• Gregory Beckham, child abuse, Feb. 4, $10,000 bond.
