Locals participate in MSU Co-op program |

Several area students are participating in the Mississippi State University Cooperative Education Program.
The students are among a total of 518 participating in the program that is available to students in agriculture and life sciences, architecture, arts and sciences, business and industry, education, engineering and forest resources.
This program allows the students to receive a college education as well as practical experience in his or her chosen field of study.
The following local students will return to the MSU campus to complete requirements toward their degrees after finishing their third work semesters:
• Charles Craig Bilberry, of Starkville, is an electrical engineering major working with Southern Co. in Atlanta, Ga.
• Michael Alan Dampier, of Starkville. is an industrial technology major working with Tecumseh Products-MS in Tupelo.
• Quoc Hung Dang, of Starkville, is a computer engineering major working with Miller Transporters Inc. in Jackson. He is the son of Phuc Thi Nguyen.
• John Foster Gerrard, of Starkville, is a golf and sports turf management major working with Spanish Peaks Golf Course in Big Sky, Montana.
• Matthew David Goff, of Starkville, is a golf and sports turn management major working with the Memphis Redbirds in Memphis, Tenn.
• Amanda Cheree Harvey, of Starkville, is a civil engineering major working with Thompson Engineering Inc. in Mobile.
• Kristie A. Nichols, of Starkville, is a construction and land management major working with NAVOCEANO at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
• Dudley Gordon Phelps, of Starkville, is a forestry major working with Haas Outdoor Inc. in West Point.
• Ryan Daniel Reves, of Starkville, is a civil engineering major working with Brice Building Co. Inc. in Birmingham, Ala. He is the son of Kim and Ricky Reves.
• Joshua David Richardson, of Starkville, is a computer science major working with Luvata in Grenada.
• Thomas Gray Stewart, of Starkville, is an electrical engineering major working with SemiSouth Laboratories Inc. in Starkville.
• Mark Benjamin Thomas, of Starkville, is a civil engineering major working with ACIPCO in Birmingham, Ala.
• Timothy Lee Shurden, of Mathiston, is a professional golf management major working with Peninsula Golf Club in Gulf Shores, Ala.
