County supervisors and other elected officials are touring East Mississippi Community College’s six-county district during the months of April, May and June. During the day-long tours, supervisors get a close-up look at EMCC’s Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses – and have a chance to speak with key members of the EMCC team about academic, career-technical and athletic programs. EMCC hosted elected officials from Oktibbeha County on Monday. Shown posing for a photo after lunch at the Scooba campus are, first row from left, District 3 Supervisor Marvel Howard, District 4 Supervisor Daniel Jackson and District 5 Supervisor John L. Young Sr. In the second row are: Dr. Jackie Stennis, vice president of EMCC’s Scooba campus; Dr. Rick Young, EMCC president; and Bruce Hanson, EMCC community entrepreneurial development facilitator. In the third row are: Don Posey, Oktibbeha County administrator; Tony Montgomery, EMCC head baseball coach; and Sharon Thompson, EMCC women’s head basketball coach.
