COCO sets awards program Saturday For the Daily News The Council of Community Organizations (COCO) has been successful at continuing its objective to enhance the quality of life for residents living in and around Oktibbeha County, and hopes to recognize the contributors at its annual awards program scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday. The COCO awards program will feature musical entertainment; as well as, the presentation of awards to those that were generous enough to contribute to our cause.
COCO hopes the Awards Program will motivate those who have contributed to continue to contribute, and motivate others to do the same. “We are thankful to those that have so graciously donated money or time to make our organization a success each year. Having an awards program for those individuals is the least we can do to show our gratitude,” said Council of Community Organizations President Peggy J. Rogers. Many local organizations have bestowed gifts to the COCO Center allowing for programs such as our tutoring programs and Computer Awareness program to be successful. “Our organization thrives on donations, and it is great to see so many people willing to help those in their community,” said Rogers. The Annual Awards Program will be held at the COCO Center at 1408 Old Highway 82 East Starkville. COCO, Founded in 1984, is a non-profit Organizations dedicated to the residents of Oktibbeha County and its surrounding communities.
