Arraignments on Grand Jury indictments continued to dominate much of the action during the second week of the winter Oktibbeha County Circuit Court term, which ended Friday.
The recent Grand Jury term saw a record 386 felony indictments handed down.
In Circuit Court action last week, the following suspects were arraigned on various Oktibbeha County Grand Jury indictments and are listed by name, charges, bond and date of next court action (any similarities in name to other individuals in the community is purely coincidental):
• Stennis Miller, aggravated assault, $25,000 bond, May 3.
• Tywalla Harris, embezzlement, $5,000 bond, April 20.
• Brian Tamvakis, possession of a controlled substance, $5,000 bond, May 4.
• Elizabeth Rendon, transfer of a forged prescription, $5,000 bond, April 20.
• Martin Stark Rendon, obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, $5,000 bond, April 22.
• Rochquel Lynn, uttering a forgery, $5,000 bond, April 21.
• Geroge Pettus (a.k.a. James Flowers), extortion, no bond, April 21.
• Eric Bell, burglary and larceny, no bond, April 21.
• James Edmonds, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine, conspiracy, three counts of child abuse, $55,000 bond, May 4.
• Shasta Bateman, identity theft, $5,000 bond, May 5.
• Devon Chandler, possession of contraband in jail, $25,000 bond, April 21.
• Sam Lee, possession of a weapon by a felon, $5,000 bond, May 6.
• Michael White, sale of methamphetamine, $10,000 bond, April 22.
• Develle Henderson, two counts of forgery, uttering a forgery, $15,000 bond, May 5.
• John F. Hogan, DUI (third offense), $5,000 bond, May 5.
• Joseph Russell, grand larceny, $5,000 bond, May 3.
• Erica Schwartz, grand larceny, $5,000 bond, April 21.
• Illisha Wynter, identity theft, $5,000 bond, April 20.
• Edward Lamar Ware, possession of stolen property, fleeing an law enforcement office, sale of cocaine within $1,500 feet of a church, sale of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a church, $40,000 bond, May 3.
• Robert Tate, burglary and larceny, burglary of a dwelling, no bond under a hold by the Department of Corrections, April 21.
• Steven Knox, attempted burglary, $5,000 bond, May 5.
• Shanda Edmonds, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine, conspiracy, three counts of child abuse, $30,000 bond, May 6.
• Nicholette Duzant, two counts of sexual battery, $40,000 bond, May 3.
• Raymond Wise, burglary of a dwelling, $10,000 bond, April 20.
• Tristan Conner, sale or transfer of benzylpiperazin, $10,000 bond, April 22.
• Kentrell Gardner, automobile burglary, $5,000 bond, April 20.
• Romarcus Gandy, burglary and larceny of a dwelling place, $10,000 bond, April 21.
• James L. Collier, possession of a weapon by a felon, no bond under hold by the Department of Corrections, April 21.
• Gregory West, possession of a weapon by a felon, $10,000 bond, April 22.
• Amanda Ellinburg, possession of a controlled substance, released on recognizance, May 4.
• Marcus Flowers, possession of a controlled substance, $5,000 bond, May 4.
• Lamark Bell, embezzlement, $5,000 bond, April 20.
• Brandon Mitchell, prescription forgery, $5,000 bond, May 6.
• Matt Senter, sale or transfer of alprazolam, $10,000 bond, April 22.
• Brandon Cannon, three counts of burglary of an automobile, three counts of burglary and larceny of an automobile, $40,000 bond, May 4.
• Robert Quinn, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, sale or transfer of cocaine, conspiracy, possession of a stolen firearm, $75,000 bond, May 6.
• Rena Walker, identity theft, $5,000 bond, May 3.
• Walter Deloach, possession of a controlled substance, no bond under order of the Department of Corrections, April 20.
Also in Circuit Court action last week, the following defendants were sentenced after pleading guilty or having prior suspended sentences, probation or post-release supervision revoked. They are listed by name, charges, sentence, fines and restitution (any similarities in name to other individuals in the community is purely coincidental):
• Richard Richardson, possession of methamphetamine precursors, 4 years in prison, $5,000 fine.
• Catina Blevins, uttering a forgery, 5 years of probation on a 10-year suspended sentence, $500 fine, $2,506 in restitution.
•  Ronnie B. Smith, grand larceny, 5 years of non-adjudicated probation, $1,000 fine, $1,000 in restitution.
• Marcus J. Carpenter, felony fleeing a law enforcement officer, 6 years in prison, $500 fine.
• Daniel Shrenkengost, DUI (third offense), 1 year in the Intensive Supervision/House Arrest Program followed by 4 years of probation, $2,000 fine.
• Terry Drane, possession of hydrocodone, 5 years of probation on a 12-year suspended sentence, $200 fine.
• Jennifer Lindsey, possession of methamphetamine precursors, 5 years probation on a 20-year suspended sentence, $5,000 fine.
• Marcus Carothers, sale of less than 30 grams of marijuana, 16 years in prison, $1,000 fine.
• Jonathan Caceres, kidnapping, possession of between .1 gram and 2 grams of cocaine, 5 years in prison on a 15-year suspended sentence, $1,000 fine.
• Joe S. Cane, sexual battery, exploitation of a child, 8 years in prison, $500 fine.
• Kendrick Yarbrough, two counts of sale of cocaine, 40 years in prison, $5,000 fine.
• Meco Marquez Hearn, two counts of sale of marijuana, 1 year in the Intensive Supervision/House Arrest Program followed by 2 years of probation, $500 fine, $500 in restitution to the Mississippi State University Police Department.
• Timedron Lawston, shooting into a vehicle, 4 years in prison after revocation of post-release supervision.
• Ricky Chandler, possession of more than 30 grams of cocaine with intent to distribution, two counts of sale of cocaine, sentencing set for April 10.
• Jeremy Spears, possession of between 1 and 5 kilograms of marijuana, 6 years in prison, $1,000 fine.
• Michael Cunningham, sale of alprazolam, sentencing set for April 30.
• Curtis Bishop, sale of alprazolam, sentencing set for April 19.
• Ivrick Randle, grand larceny, year in the Intensive Supervision/House Arrest Program followed by 5 years of probation, $200 fine.
• Alvin Isaac, burglary of a business, sale of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a park, 6 years in prison, $400 ifines, $400 in restitution to the Starkville Police Department.
• Jacob Potter, sale of less than 30 grams of marijuana, 3 years of non-adjudicated probation, $500 fine.
• Anthony Ray Vaughn, posession of between 30 and 250 grams of marijuana, 3 years of probation, $1,000 fine.
• Robert Rowan, grand larceny, 5 years of probation, $250 fine, $20 in restitution.
• James Howard Wordlaw, two counts of sale of less than 30 grams of marijuana, 6 years in prison, $6,000 fine.
• Santangela Outlaw, burglary of a dwelling 5 years of probation on a 20-year suspended sentence, $500 fine.
• Benjamin Barker, sale of less than 30 grams of marijuana, 3 years in prison, $1,000 fine.
• Elroy Graham, DUI (third offense), 4 years in prison after revocation of post-release supervision.
• Carothers Norman, DUI (third offense), 3 years in prison after revocation of post-release supervision.
• Brashley Barnett, sale of cocaine, 1 year in prison, $5,000 fine.
• Willie C. Peterson, DUI (third offense), 4 years in prison, $2,000 fine.
• Tharnell Smith, DUI (third offense), 3 years in prison after revocation of post-release supervision.
• James Gitchell, manufacturing methamphetamine, simple assault on a law enforcement officer, 27 years in prison.
• Melinda Kelly, obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, 1 year in the Intensive Supervision/House Arrest Program followed by 4 year of probation, $100 fine.
• Robert Neal, possession of more than 500 grams of marijuana with intent to distribute, two counts of sale of cocaine, 34 years in prison, $12,000 fine.
The next Circuit Court term is scheduled for late April.
