Steve and Claire Greer of Collierville, Tenn., are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtnay Sandiage Greer of Collierville, Tenn., to Kyle Justin Veazey of Puryear, Tenn., son of Tommy and Regina Veazey of Puryear, Tenn.
Kyle proposed to Courtnay on Sunday, June 7, 2009, on the rooftop of the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis, Tenn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Virginia Smith and the late Kenneth Smith of Starkville, the late Herb Greer and the late Iva Greer of Jackson.
She is a 2004 graduate of Houston High School and a 2007 graduate of Mississippi State University. She is currently a graduate student working on her Master of Science in Community Counseling at Mississippi State University.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Nathaniel Orr and the late Oyna Orr of Puryear, Tenn., Dorothy Veazey and the late Charles Veazey of Paris, Tenn.
He is a 2000 graduate of Henry County High School and a 2004 graduate of The University of Mississippi. He is currently employed at The Clarion Ledger.
The wedding is set for 11 a.m. December 12, 2009, at the Chapel of Memories on the Mississippi State University campus in Starkville. A reception will be held at the Colvard Student Union Bill Foster Ballroom U, following the ceremony.
