Early Morning Fire Ravages Empty Home

Young Kerby/For the SDN Young Kerby/For the SDN Above, Oktibbeha County volunteer firefighters from the Adaton, Bell Schoolhouse and Maben fire departments battle a blaze at 2133 Reed Road early Tuesday morning. Firefighters were sent to the house at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday and arrive to find it fully engulfed in flames, said County Fire Services Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan. The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze and awas actually being prepared for new renters to move in. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department. See related story, page A-3.
