Troop gives back to area church

October 24, 2010

Girl Scouts Heart of the South Troop No. 20349 recently kicked off their troop meeting for the 2010-2011 year on September 20, 2010. As part of their “Leader for the Day” service project initiative, Leaders Nikki Pegues and Cameria Yarbrough chose service projects to benefit Be-thel M.B. Church in Starkville, MS. The girls donated school supplies to the youth department and gave treat bags to honor all Grandparents of Be-thel M.B. Church for Grandparents’ Day, which was September 12. The troop appreciates Be-thel M.B. Church for allowing them to hold troop meetings at the church. The troop is under the leadership of LaToya Bledsoe.
