Tea Party hosts city, county officials

September 10, 2010

Mayor Parker Wiseman, members of the Starkville Board of Aldermen, and members of the Oktibbeha Country Board of Supervisors will answer questions from the public at a special Town Hall Meeting this Saturday at the Starkville Sportsplex.
The meeting will be sponsored by the Starkville Tea Party and will begin at 11 a.m. City and county citizens are urged to attend, and be prepared to ask questions about local issues that concern them.
Individual questions will be written by those in attendance and passed to a non-partisan panel for screening, then given to the moderator.
Starkville Tea Party officals said the objective of this meeting is to provide a controlled, non-threatening, non-combative public forum whereby citizens feel free to ask questions of their elected officials.
Each question will be checked for legibility, resident status, and content. Questions can be tough, but no incendiary or inflammatory questions will be allowed.
All officials will be treated fairly and with dignity and respect.  No vocal outbursts or vocal comments will be allowed.
The Starkville Tea Party’s mission is to inform, educate, and call to action.
