Starkville Optimist donate for local back to school celebrations

Recently the Starkville Optimist Club made a generous contribution to both the Starkville School District and the Oktibbeha County School District.
Both districts received a donation in the amount of $500 to be equally divided in support of the Starkville School District’s Back To School Bash on July 24 and to the Oktibbeha County School District’s Back to School Expo on July 31.

On behalf of SSD, Dr. Joan Butler, Director of Family Centered Programs, was presented with a $250 check by Sgt. Major Robert Bishop, representative of Starkville Optimist Club.

Oktibbeha County School District

On behalf of OCSD, Dr. Gale Cook, Assistant Superintendent of Federal Programs, was presented with a $250 check by Julius L. Clark, representative of Starkville Optimist Club.
