Stamps leaves MSU football team

Mississippi State defensive back Chris Stamps has transferred away from the football program the Starkville Daily News confirmed on Saturday. 247Sports reported that Stamps will continue his football career at Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Stamps saw limited playing time in his MSU career. After redshirting during his first year on campus in 2015, he got in nine games last season and recorded just two total tackles.
Stamps, a Vicksburg native, originally joined the Bulldogs as a four-star recruit out of Warren Central High School.
