OSERVS recognized for Preparedness Month

Oktibbeha County Emergency Management Director Jim Britt, right presents Amanda Edwards, co-chair of the board of directors for Oktibbeha-Starkville Emergency Response Volunteer Services (OSERVS), with a Federal Emergency Management Agency recognition certificate for National Preparedness Month. OSERVS is promoting emergency and disaster preparedness activities during the month, including a proclamation signed by the Mayor and Board of Supervisors declaring Preparedness Month in Starkville and Oktibbeha County. Activities culminated at last week’s Citywide Tailgate Party with the distribution of information about how to effectively prepare for emergencies.
