A Starkville man died Saturday night in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 182.
Christopher Neely, 35, of Starkville, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from Sgt. Criss Turnipseed, spokesman for Troop G of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
About 9:30 p.m. Saturday Teresa Sanders, 36, of Starkville, was driving a red 2012 Toyota Camry east on Highway 182. The car left the road, crossed two grassy medians at the East Lee Boulevard intersection, flipped over and landed on the road's south side – in front of the highway patrol substation, according to the news release.
Sanders was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo with a possible head injury. Neely, a passenger in the car, was partially ejected in the crash, Turnipseed said. The accident remains under investigation by MHP.
