A second Mississippi State basketball player has decided to test the waters of the NBA Draft.

One day after Lamar Peters announced he was entering the NBA Draft pool without hiring an agent, Nick Weatherspoon did the same on Thursday.

“Talked it over and decided to enter my name in the 2018 NBA Draft,” Weatherspoon posted to Twitter. “No agent. Excited for the opportunity.”

By not hiring agents, both Peters and Weatherspoon will have the opportunity to return to MSU as long as they withdraw from the NBA Draft by 4 p.m. on June 11.

Weatherspoon was selected an All-SEC Freshman this past season. He averaged 10.8 points per game and was one of State’s best defensive players.
