Another game means another top 25 matchup in women's basketball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs within the Southeastern Conference.
The 13th-ranked Bulldogs play their third-straight top 25 opponent Thursday night when the Kentucky Wildcats come to down for a 6 p.m. matchup at Humphrey Coliseum.
Missouri was ranked No. 21 at this time it faced MSU, while Texas A&M was No. 13 and now Kentucky is No. 16.
"The piranhas keep coming in the fish bowl that we live in so we've got to get ready for another great ballclub," State head coach Vic Schaefer said.
The Bulldogs (21-5 overall and 8-4 in the SEC) have had an open date to get ready for Makayla Epps and the Wildcats.
Kentucky (17-6, 6-6) comes into the game with some momentum after beating LSU 70-58 and Vanderbilt 71-55. Epps averages 16.5 points per game to lead the Wildcats.
"(Epps) is just relentless," Schaefer said. "She just keeps coming at you. She's a fearless competitor and confident kid. That whole team is that way."
