There’s a little extra motivation for Mississippi State Saturday as the Bulldogs return to the Humphrey Coliseum floor for a 1:30 p.m. game against South Carolina.
MSU’s 1996 Final Four team will be in the building and will take part in a halftime ceremony that will honor the group’s splendid run through the NCAA Tournament two decades ago.
“I want to play our hearts out for those guys,” Mississippi State first-year head coach Ben Howland said. “It’s all Bulldog family. What a special weekend for those guys to be back together for the first time in 20 years and be able to celebrate all the sacrifice and all the hard work and all the success that came from the sacrifice and hard work from so many people.”
