Moe's Southwest Grill opened to the public Saturday on the north end of Perry Hall, where the State Fountain Bakery was previously located.
"We are excited to introduce students, faculty and alumni to a new southwestern concept that will enhance the overall campus experience as well as offer a fresh, flavorful menu with items that are uniquely created to reflect each customer's individual taste," said Jamie Beazley, interim MSU dining resident district manager for Aramark.
Each meal at Moe's is created-to-order. Ingredients like all-natural chicken, grass-fed steak, organic tofu and handcrafted guacamole speckle the menu. Customers at Moe's can build a variety of different entrees, including burritos, tacos and nachos, from the ingredients on the Moe's bar.
Stephanie Sharp, marketing manager for Aramark, said the typical price range for a meal at Moe's is around $9, which includes a drink from the Coke Freestyle machine and a side plus chips and salsa. A salsa bar features five fresh salsas that are made fresh, in-house each day to add spice to any meal.
