In one of the most stunning finishes in college baseball this season, Mississippi State silenced the contingent at Dick Howser Stadium and ended national-seeded Florida State’s season with one swing of the bat.

Junior outfielder Elijah MacNamee sent a 1-2 count from starter Drew Parrish of the Seminoles off of the scoreboard in left field and bring home three runs to give Mississippi State a 3-2 win in walk-off fashion. The victory was in a win-or-go-home ball game against Florida State, which lost on Friday night against Samford after the Bulldogs had lost the first game of the day to Oklahoma.

“(Parrish) had a rhythm going and with the fans going crazy, your emotions start going everywhere,” MacNamee said. “I just stepped out, got a breather, stepped back into the box and kept fighting. It definitely paid off.”
