The graveside funeral for Mary Reynolds Beatty will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Cemetery in Newton, with Newton County Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beatty, 92 of Starkville, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Starkville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Colonel Rupert H. Beatty; one sister, Mildred Reynolds Timberlake and four brothers, Bill Reynolds, Hayden H. Reynolds, Hilliar A. (Cotton) Reynolds and John Austin Reynolds.
Survivors include her brothers, David M. Reynolds of Starkville and Henry H. Reynolds of Clinton; numerous nieces and nephews of which a niece by marriage, Anita Vaught Reynolds, has been her special caregiver for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to French Camp Academy or Palmer Home for children in Columbus.
