It was a long afternoon at Dudy Noble Field for Louisiana Tech, but the Bulldogs were resilient.
The day started with LA Tech bouncing back from its earlier loss in the tournament to Cal State Fullerton and showed an impressive offensive performance against the nation’s top pitching squad.
In the day’s first game, Tech put together eight hits but capitalized for six runs and the Bulldogs held the Titans in check offensively for the 6-2 win at the NCAA Starkville Regional.
“I’m just really proud of our players for showing up after a tough game we had with (Cal State) Fullerton earlier (in the weekend),” Louisiana Tech head coach Greg Goff said. “We’ve got so much respect their staff and the program that they have. It’s a big honor to have an opportunity to play them and to come back and find a way to win.”
