Former Mississippi State defensive back Jahmere Irvin-Sills was officially announced as a member of the roster at the University of North Dakota on Thursday.
After redshirting for the Bulldogs in 2013, Irvin-Sills played in nine games last season, totaling 10 tackles. He had a pair of tackles in Mississippi State’s contest against Georgia Tech in the Capital One Orange Bowl.
“Jahmere will be with us for fall camp and we expect him to compete for playing time right away and contribute to the 2015 season,” UND head coach Bubba Schweigert said. “He spent two seasons with an SEC program and displayed the skills to play physical football along with the quickness and agility to cover receivers. We’re excited to have him join the program.”
