Ben Howland is adapting again.
One year after the veteran leader jumped back into the head coaching game following a two-year absence from college basketball, Howland is again forced to oversee transition.
Last season, Howland had to acclimate himself to life in Starkville with Mississippi State. This year, he’s piecing back together a roster that has lost eight different individuals since the 2015-16 season tipped off.
“We’re a very, very young team coming up this year,” Howland said Monday on the Southeastern Conference teleconference. “We graduated five seniors and we’ve got a huge changeover.”
