Frosbite 2016 to take place in Starkville

To usher in the new year, the Frostbite Race is getting a total make over. The race's new route will take runners through the heart of Starkville on Saturday, Jan. 30.

"We're trying to make this more of a Starkville event. Something that people get excited about and look forward to every year," said Brad Jones, one of the event's organizers "That's why we decided to change the course so that it'll have a completely different feel than before."

Registration can only be completed online at www.frostbitehalf.com. The race has different options for runners with a one-mile fun run at $10, 5K at $25, 10K at $40 and the half marathon at $55. The last day to register will be on Jan. 29. According to the website, the event will start at 10 a.m.
