ENGAGEMENT Labella-McCann

Mr. David Paul Labella of Columbus announces the engagement of his daughter, Stephanie Ann, to Matthew David McCann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Halsell McCann of Shuqualak.
Miss Labella is also the daughter of Mrs. Jeanie Pongetti Carter.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Nell Labella of Columbus and the late Mr. Anthony Peter Labella, Mr. Jacob Pongetti and Mrs. Mearle Barbour.
Stephanie is a 2002 graduate of Columbus High School, a 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She is currently employed by Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT in Columbus.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Conner Jr. of DeKalb and Mrs. William Halsell McCann of Starkville and the late Mr. McCann.
Matt is a 2002 graduate of Starkville Academy, a 2007 graduate of Mississippi State University where he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Army. In 2009 he received Army Aviator’s wings after completing flight school at Ft. Rucker, Ala. He is currently a pilot for the 1-149th Armed Reconnaisance Battalion in Tupelo.
Matt surprised Stephanie by proposing to her in front of family and friends on top of the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn. the day before she graduated from U.T.
The wedding will be held at 6 p.m. on October 9, 2010 at the Chapel of Memories, Mississippi State University with the reception to follow at the Union Ballroom.
Invitation is extended to friends and family to be a part of this happy event.
