Singer-songwriter Corey Smith will perform at Rick's Cafe for the 11th year at 9 p.m. Jan. 18.

Tickets are available online at www.rickscafe.net or at Rick's Cafe, located at 319 B Highway 182 East in Starkville. Tickets cost $15 ahead of time and $20 on the day of the concert. Attendees must be 18 or older.

The doors will open at 8 p.m. and Wilson Brothers Band will take the stage at 9 p.m. with Smith to follow at 10 p.m.

Rick's Cafe owner Rick Welch said the Jefferson, Georgia, native has performed at Rick's Cafe every year since 2006 and successfully draws a crowd each year.

"All of his shows have done really well, even his first one back in 2006," Welch said. "He was putting his music out on his MySpace page at the time and had built a nice fanbase and it translated to a good crowd his first time in Rick’s Cafe, which still doesn’t happen often and really impressed me. Since then his shows have either been a sellout or very close to a sellout each time.  I think the last 5 at least were sell out crowds."

Rick's bar manager Ryan Handran said he has attended at least eight of Smith's shows.

"It's a ton of fun," Handran said. "He's really good Southern soul rock. It's great music to drink to for sure."

Welch said Rick's Cafe has maintained a good relationship with Smith and his management throughout the years, and he is a regular part of the venue's yearly line-up.

"Corey and I talk throughout the year a good bit, but if I hadn’t heard from his management towards the middle of each fall, I will reach out to them so we can get our normal first of the year show lined up," Welch said.

Wilson Brothers Band is a rock and country band based out of Louisville, Kentucky, and was founded by brothers Chad and Kyle Wilson.

According to the band's website, Wilson Brothers Band creates "music that honors the past, but refuses to live in it pushing the boundaries of country music forward, creating an exciting new blend that is as emotionally potent as it is sonically appealing."
