Mississippi State has already taken one road series over a Top-2 opponent this season. Beginning Friday, the Bulldogs will try to pull off the trick yet again.
No. 10 Mississippi State (21-8-1, 6-3) and No. 1 Florida (28-3, 7-2) hook up for a three-game series in Gainesville starting this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Though the Gators currently hold the top spot in every poll, the Bulldogs aren’t intimidated for the matchup.
“We just have to play our game,” MSU catcher Jack Kruger said. “We believe we’re the most talented team in the country. When we go out there and we play like that and we play with that chip on our shoulder, I think we are the best team in the country.”
