All “Around Town” announcements are published as a community service on a first-come, first-served basis and as space allows. Announcements will be published a minimum of three times and may be printed additional times if space allows.

The water is currently being tested after a line break Tuesday night.

• Operation Christmas Child Relay Center — On Wednesday, Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box gifts may be dropped of at 1004 Lynn Lane today from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. 
Other opportunities to drop off boxes include Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to noon.

• Books and Authors meeting set —Hunters take note, do we have a book for you.  On Wednesday, Bobby Cole will present his book to us at a “Books and Authors “program at the Starkville Public Library at noon.  
His book “Dummy Line” is readable, exciting and suspenseful. Mr. Cole is a hunter, works and lives in West Point, and his business is all about hunting and the outdoors.  It will be an entertaining time, come and join the group.
• Senior Enrichment Center Activities set — On Wednesday, enjoy Stitching with Marie from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 2 p.m., bring a friend and play games.
