Cosmic Putt-Putt presents different aspect of game

The Mississippi State Institute of Golf is bringing a different aspect of the game to the public this summer.
Each weekend the MSU Golf Course presents Cosmic Putt-Putt, which combines miniature golf with a black light effect.

According to NCAA rules, coaches can only work with their players for 16 hours during an eight week period in the summer.

With the Vanderbilt Commodores winning the national championship in baseball, it was another feather in the cap of the SEC. The league didn't need much more to validate itself, but the Commodores sure helped in that cause.

Sometimes to improve as a baseball team comes the sacrifice of giving up part of a summer.
Instead of spending the month of June relaxing or traveling with family and friends, the Starkville Academy Volunteers are busy working on improving their game for the upcoming season and if you ask their coach, the work is paying off.

The Starkville Yellowjackets and West Point Green Wave have been known to have some pretty intense football games during the fall.
West Point and Noxubee County also have a history of some competitive outings against each other, while New Hope has proven to be a thorn in the side of those schools from time to time.

Mississippi State's Gavin Ware knew he was going to have to change several things when he came to college.
The former Starkville High School standout's first priority was to get in shape and stay in shape to play in the Southeastern Conference. 
Ware has worked on his weight in his two seasons with the Bulldogs, but this summer MSU head coach Rick Ray has seen a brand new Ware.

Mississippi State has almost finalized its non-conference basketball schedule for the 2014-15 season. 
Head coach Rick Ray indicated that the Bulldogs are waiting on one more contract, a "high-major contract."
