The Labor Day weekend did provide the No. 20 Mississippi State Bulldogs some welcomed rest after opening the season at Memphis last Thursday.
Oktibbeha County deputies were dispatched to the area of County Lake Road, north of Harrell Road after a female body was discovered by a group of people riding four-wheelers Sunday.

The Starkville High School cross country team had a good showing at the Christian Brothers University Brooks Twilight Classic, one of the largest twilight meets in the nation, on Saturday.
