Mr. Edward L. Tomlin, 91, of Starkville, MS; passed away at his residence on Friday, September 26, 2014.
Mr. Tomlin was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.Â He loved his grandchildren and was an avid gardener and a fan of Mississippi State Athletics. Ed loved hunting and fishing.Â
Annette Carlisle, 67, of Starkville, MS formerly of Carrollton, MS passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2014, at her home in Starkville, MS surrounded by her loving family and caregiver.

Team USA rallied in the afternoon matches to square the ISPS Handa Cup at Old Waverly Golf Club at 12-12 against Team World entering today's 12 single matches.

Dr. Fenton Peters, 79 of Starkville, MS passed away September 26, 2014 in Meridan, Ms.

Ronald McDonald made an appearance at Starkville High School's homecoming festivities on Friday afternoon and he brought a gift.
The face of McDonalds presented the athletic department with a check of $40,000 and Ronald McDonald was also on hand for the ceremonial coin toss between the Yellowjackets and the Columbus Falcons.
Starkville's Avery Brown has been a backup for two seasons, so when he got his first start, he made the most of it.
The junior rushed for a career-high 84 yards and two touchdowns as No. 1 Starkville beat Columbus 43-0 Friday night for homecoming.
EUPORA â€“ The Eupora Eagles entered Friday night's game against the Houston Hilltoppers relatively untested.
Eupora had won each game by an average of 35 points per game. The Eaglesâ€™ defense had earned three shutouts leading into the matchup.
