The Mississippi State Bulldogs feel they have some unfinished business this softball season.
After a disappointing regular season where they finished with an 8-16 Southeastern Conference mark, which wasn't good enough to make the conference tournament, the Bulldogs welcome the opportunity the NCAA Tournament presents.

There is a great deal of things yet to be decided going into the final weekend of Southeastern Conference baseball.
This year, Vanderbilt has already clinched the overall SEC title and Eastern Division, while LSU has already won the West.
With the top two seeds for the SEC Tournament set, the final 10 seeds are up for grabs.

East Webster ready to play for State softball title

This is it.
Everything the East Webster Lady Wolverines have been playing for comes down to a best-of-three series to crown the Class 2A State champion.
Knowing his team has earned the right to compete for the title makes East Webster coach Lee Berryhill a happy man.

SHS wraps up spring football at MSU's Davis Wade

There will be more spring football competition at Mississippi State's Davis Wade Stadium this weekend.
Several weeks ago, the Mississippi State Bulldogs wrapped up their spring drills with the Maroon-White Spring Game.
The Starkville Yellowjackets will do the same on Saturday when they welcome in Brandon and Gadsden City, Ala., for a spring-ending jamboree.

Today's Eupora football jamboree gives SA new perspective

Starkville Academy’s football team is going from the boys of fall to the boys of spring tonight.
Competing at a football jamboree at Eupora High School, the Volunteers are looking forward to putting the pads back on to see just where the team stands.

The SEC and the Big 12 will play 10 games as a part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge during the 2013-14 season.

Owen, Becker give MSU good one-two punch

Alison Owen is a student of the game of softball.
Just because the redshirt junior pitcher isn't in the circle for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, it doesn't mean she is just sitting waiting for the next opportunity.
Owen may be in the dugout, but she is focused on the strike zone, the tendency of opposing hitters and even how her teammates are going about their business in the circle.

Mississippi State's midweek game today will feature a couple of firsts.
Sophomore right hander Trevor Fitts is expected to make his first start for the No. 23 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs as they take on Oral Roberts for the first time in program history. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Dudy Noble Field.
