Johnny Manziel has shown an ability to escape out of some pretty tough situations on the field as the quarterback of the Texas A&M Aggies.
What's facing him now is much more difficult than trying to get away from a defensive lineman or linebacker.

SHS archery coaches prepare for the newest sport

Archery is on the way for Starkville High School.
The newest sport for the Yellowjackets will begin in February of 2014 and the preparation continues for the season.

Starkville High School athletic director Stan Miller knew about Jamie Mitchell's reputation as a good football coach prior to hiring him to lead the Yellowjackets.
What Miller has come to learn about Mitchell is the organizational skill he exhibits on a daily basis while running the program.

Bulldogs practice indoors due to heat

The last two practices have been moved inside the Palmeiro Center for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
It hasn't been raining, but the heat has been stifling and to keep guys from falling out on the field, practice has been moved inside.
On Sunday, the entire team practiced together and it saw mini competitions. Some wide receivers were shoved into the walls after catching the football.

MSU's McDonald set for Women's Amateur

Ally McDonald established herself as one of the best women's golfers in Mississippi State history this past season.
The incoming junior won the individual title at the Central Regional in the NCAA Championships and was in contention in the final round of the NCAA Championship last spring.

Fundraiser expands into Joe Henson Tiki Classic

What began as a fundraiser for a regular patron and left field lounge fixture at Mississippi State's Dudy Noble Field has morphed into a memorial golf tournament which provides scholarships to current workers.
