Being on the road so much makes coming home even sweeter.
Nothing could be more true for Jeff Markham and his baseball team who are finally coming home to take part in the USSSA Mississippi State Championships 11-Under baseball tournament this weekend at the Starkville Sportsplex.
Luke Buckner is excited about the possibilities as he enters the second season as the coach of the Starkville Christian Lady Cougars.
After going through one season already with the Lady Cougars, Buckner believes they will be ahead of the game moving forward just because the coaching philosophy won't change.

The senior Bulldog hasn't seen a ton of action this postseason. Porter has taken just eight at-bats in 12 postseason games this year.

The United States Specialty Sports Association will have part of its focus on Starkville this week.
Beginning Thursday, the Starkville Sportsplex will host the USSSA 11-year old A, AA, AAA and Major Mississippi State championships baseball tournament. Teams from all across Mississippi will begin later this week with action running through Sunday.
