Bulldogs hit Duluth: State's women play at SEC Tournament

The Mississippi State women's basketball team hopes the next game in the state of Georgia is much better than the last one.
After losing a 77-48 decision to the Georgia Bulldogs last Sunday, MSU opens the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Duluth, Ga., today against Missouri. The tip is set for 5 p.m. at The Arena at the Gwinnett Center.

Georgia has been and continues to be on the minds of Mississippi State's basketball teams.
After the Bulldog women played at the University of Georgia on Sunday, the MSU men have made the trip to Athens for competition against the other Bulldogs of the Southeastern Conference.

Mississippi State hasn't won a road game in 17 tries dating back to last season.
The Bulldogs last win on the road came at Georgia last January. MSU beat the Peach State Bulldogs that day 72-61.
Mississippi State (13-16, 3-13) returns to the place where they last got a win when they meet Georgia today. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. inside Stegeman Coliseum.

ACKERMAN – The Starkville Yellowjackets wanted another game.
Boasting a team full of youth, baseball coach Travis Garner and his squad jumped on the opportunity to pick up a game with Choctaw County. 
The late addition paid off as the Yellowjackets secured a 12-0 victory. They lost a 13-4 decision to Kosciusko later in the night.

Many Mississippi State baseball fans may have their minds on this weekend's road trip, but there is still one more game to be played before the Bulldogs head west.
No. 14 MSU hosts South Alabama tonight at 6:30 p.m. in a midweek contest at Dudy Noble Field.
