SHS looks to try out activity in coming weeks

The Bulldog Lanes will be filled with activity on the next two Thursdays with high school students looking to fill spots on the Starkville High School bowling team.
SHS bowling coach Jim Philamlee has been anticipating the tryouts for some time and said the prospects look promising.

Numbers increase at West Oktibbeha

MABEN - The numbers are on the rise as football is concerned at West Oktibbeha.
After having less than 20 athletes on the roster last season, the “future is bright” for the Timberwolves who boast 26 kids this season.
“The first week was great,” West Oktibbeha first-year head coach Danny Crawford said. “We had a chance to get back in school and get everybody going.”
