The former Mississippi State women's basketball player came to Starkville with being a teacher in mind. After being a student athlete for four years at MSU, her plans changed.

Rain postpones first day action at McKee Park

Rain, rain go away seems to be the saying at McKee Park where a host of all-stars are looking to play.
Originally scheduled to begin Friday at 4:30 p.m., showers prevented the Dizzy Dean 8-year-old South State Tournament from getting underway.

Prospective MSU walk-on found dead in Tennessee

A prospective walk-on Mississippi State football player was found dead Thursday morning.
Mitchell Maxwell, 18, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., was found dead by his brother, Matthew, Thursday morning at their home.
