CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. â€“ Mississippi State was six outs away from the College World Series, but rain forced the Bulldogs to wait another day to record the last few outs.
The No. 12 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs came back Monday afternoon after rain suspended game two of the Charlottesville Super Regional to beat the No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers 6-5 at Davenport Field to advance to Omaha, Neb.

The rain was persistent and caused the game to be suspended. The two teams will resume play today at 3 p.m.

The Mississippi State junior shortstop continued his hot start at the plate in game two.
Frazier was 2-4 Sunday night as the second game of the Charlottesville Super Regional was suspended until today due to weather.Â
