Mississippi State started the season on a 17-game win streak, but then Central Arkansas came to town.
The No. 14 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs lost two out of three to the Bears in early March in Starkville.

When you first look at Ross Mitchell, it's hard to believe he could lead a Division I program in wins.
The Mississippi State sophomore left hander stands 6-foot-1 and weighs in at 171 pounds. Although he isn't very intimidating when he steps on the mound, he has found a way to lead the Bulldogs.
Mitchell has a team-best 11 wins and is 11-0 for the Bulldogs coming out of the bullpen.
Mississippi State pitching coach Butch Thompson describes Kendall Graveman as a leader, a captain and solid in everything he does.
Those qualities are valuable to have for a hurler that has been a key member of the weekend rotation the past two seasons for the Bulldogs.
