Baseball season is usually a highly-anticipated one for Mississippi State fans.

The wait comes to an end this afternoon as the No. 13 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs open the 2013 season this weekend with a four-game series against West Coast Conference foe the Portland Pilots.

Rea becomes more complete player for MSU

Mississippi State redshirt sophomore Wes Rea can be an intimidating presence in the batter's box.

When looking at his 6-5, 272-pound frame, one might think Rea is all about hitting the baseball out of the park.

Senior pitcher Kendall Graveman said there's more to Rea than power.

Second half sinks MSU in loss

OXFORD – It was night and day from the first half to the second half for the Mississippi State women's basketball team Thursday night.

The Bulldogs (11-13, 3-8) fell prey to a second half comeback by the Ole Miss Rebels (9-15, 2-9), as the Rebels earned a 65-51 victory inside Tad Smith Coliseum on Valentine's Day.
