Jackets host expanded event at MSU's Humphrey Coliseum

Normally when teams from across the nation descend on Humphrey Coliseum it is on the collegiate level.
This week things are a bit different as Starkville High School hosts the Travis Outlaw Slam Dunk at the Hump featuring teams from across the Southeast and even one team from Pennsylvania.

Bulldogs are ready for walk in Memphis

Mississippi State spent all of last week getting prepared for its last and final game of the season.
The roll into Memphis, Tenn., today in advance of the New Year's Eve AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
The Bulldogs (6-6) will play Conference USA champion Rice (10-3) on Tuesday. 
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN.

Sword having good season for MSU

There's one observation that sticks out to people when they watch the Mississippi State basketball team.
That is that Craig Sword is really good.
The Bulldog sophomore guard has really put his name on the map in his second year wearing the maroon and white.

UNLV uses hot shooting to defeat MSU

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – A blistering first-half shooting performance by UNLV did in the Mississippi State men’s basketball team Monday night.

Playing its final game before the Christmas break, MSU allowed nine first-half 3-point baskets and never recovered, falling 82-66 to UNLV in the championship game of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic at Orleans Arena.

MSU's Dillingham honored by league

Mississippi State freshman guard Dominique Dillingham has burst onto the women's college basketball scene.
She proved it this past week.
After totaling 22 points in two games for the Bulldogs, Dillingham was the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week.
Dillingham scored five points and pulled down five rebounds in her first start as MSU beat North Dakota State on the road.
